Lost Lake Tree Fest-A Day Of Reforestation

Lost Lake Tree Fest is our first official volunteer event, focused on planting approximately 1,000 native trees along the river’s edge surrounding Lost Lake, including the 15-meter protected riparian zone. This effort will help restore critical wildlife habitat, prevent soil erosion, and expand the ecological buffer

Seedling of Hope Example

The Seedlings of Hope Nursery aims to establish a dedicated facility for germinating seeds collected from mother trees within local forests. This nursery will serve as a central hub for nurturing saplings until they are ready to be transplanted. These saplings will be free to people who want to start their own reforestation project.

Guardians of the Green

Educational curriculum Specialist

This Volunteer will help develop an educational program for local schools and communities that will educate students and people in the communities on importance of reforestation and environmental protection. This will include anti hunting information, spring/rivers/stream protection and conservation through reforestation, and developing community support groups.

Requirements

Experience in Educational Theory and Instructional Design a plus.

Seedlings of Hope Nursery

General Volunteers

These Volunteers will help gather seeds from mature trees in our existing forests. They will also help in constructing the nursery shade structures, seed beads, watering systems, and mulching/ potting stations.

Requirements

No experience is needed but experience in construction, plumbing, or nursery management a plus.

Volunteers Needed

October 12, 2024 to October 20, 2024

Volunteers can stay for the duration of the project OR volunteer for shorter periods of time

Wings Over Water

Tree Sapling Planting Volunteers

These volunteers will be planting small tree saplings that will create habitat and prevent erosion control along the Pataste River. Volunteers will work from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon and our goal is to plant 200 tree saplings. BBQ lunch and non alchoholic drinks will be provided.

Requirements

Must be able to do moderate physical work.

Volunteers Needed

November 17, 2024

Join us for a day of reforestation and fun. Volunteers needed for planting roughly 200 trees along the Pataste River's edge. These trees will be planted to reinforce the river's edge, creating new habitat and erosion control. The fun begins at 9:00 AM and will end around 3:00 PM. Includes pizza and BBQ lunch. RSVP prior to event.
